  1. All men? Really? I’m sorry, but I’m not a skinny bitch with tiny arms and toothpick legs. Ill stock to the Jason Statham look.

    1. Seriously? A lot of those guys look well built. I mean, they aren’t fat asses, true. Looks like they eat well and take care of themselves. I have a similar haircut and am built similarly. 6’1, 185 lbs, fit but maybe slim by some standards. I work out a few times a week, eat well and am happy I don’t look like someone who is trying to compensate for male pattern baldness, i.e. Jason Statham. Plus the chicks really seem to dig it, which is always a plus.

      1. I feel like he is addressing the fact that some people, like myself, are just built big as hell and can’t pull this off.

For example, I’m 6’5″, 230lbs, and only have 8% body fat on me. I always was, and always will just be a big mother fucker. My shoulders have always been at least 55″ since puberty ended, and my chest was 48″ at it’s smallest. And these measurements were with the tape pulled tight so it was on bone.

So someone like me, can’t pull this off.

    2. I must differ with your opinion in regards to David Beckham … He is definitely NOT a “skinny bitch with tiny arms and toothpick legs”, as you so mildly put it. 🙂

    3. My man is beardy, tall and fat and looks sexy as fuck with this haircut. Don’t agree with it being suited for just “skinny bitch[es]”.

  2. My hair is very thick and tends to curl when it gets long, I still use a hawklette style for my hair. I would like to try this but would be afraid it would look silly.

    1. just style it when its wet with some pomade or something to keep it smooth and youll be fine 🙂 i think this is the sexiest hair a guy could have

  3. I consider 95% percent of these cuts BAD haircuts and would be embarrassed to allow someone to leave my shop looking like any one of these models.

      1. I guess you know irony…and racism. All these haircuts remind me of hitler youth hairstyle and most of these models are white.

  4. From a girls point of view…. not all men should get this. Do your own thing. Seeing every guy with this hair cut is a turn off. It looks ok, but it will fade and the next thing will come along.

  5. oh, please. White guys with thick and/or plentiful hair can get whatever bloody haircut they want.
I on the other hand, with hair fine as a pancake and a weird hairline couldn’t do this at all.

Thanks for the advice, but I’ll continue getting whatever fucking haircut I want

  6. Not all men. As usual when discussing what is claimed to be “all” men, they completely forget about us guys with curly hair for whom this would only look fucking ridiculous. “Fashion” always forgets us. It’s bullshit

    1. Actually if you grow out the top and get the sides done really well this looks really good on men with curly hair. Im going to the barbers today ro have it donw again. Just style your curls forwards or asymmetrically.

      1. the slick back style for black males is only achievable if you use really harsh chemical straighteners.

  7. Another example of austerity fashion, they won’t be happy until we’re all indoors making cupcakes, wearing Kath Kidson aprons, watching The Voice and being good little citizens so they can carry on making us pay for a recession we didn’t create!

    1. Oh whaahhh whaaahhhh. I have had a 1930’s-40’s look going on for over 13 years now. It has nothing to do with politics, the recession or the feminization of the American male. get a grip on reality

      1. Truly you must be an innovative and independent trend setter! But just ‘cos I was jumping into tubs wearing shrink to fit 501’s in the 1970’s, doesn’t mean the revival of 1950’s Americana in the 1980’s wasn’t a direct link between 2 decades in economic boom! Politics is all, including shoe design, where they’re made, where they’re sold, how much you pay for them and the statement you think you’re making when you walk down the street in them #realitygrip
Also, I was not referring to just males in my comment, unless your grip on reality excludes women from the hardships of a worldwide recession!? I can hear it now…..”it’s just a haircut!” lol

  8. Sooooo….pretty much a metal hawk (mohawk that doesn’t go to your neck) but worn down or parted? Ingenious! Its not like punk guys with mohawks haven’t been wearing this hairstyle for many years on the days they don’t put it up. lol

  9. Try walking into a job interview with a cut like this, 3 days of stubble and tattoos all up your neck. What a joke.

    1. I look like this, full leg tattoo, forearm tattoos, this haircut, fancy handle bar mustache and work in a Hospital as a Desktop Administrator in the IT Department. This is how I looked when I interviewed. I wouldnt want to work someplace that wouldn’t hire me due to anything but the quality of my work.

  10. Those are all great hairstyles but what should black people do? I have a decent haircut which is basically a faux hawk but I mean am I only limited to that !? I’m tired of not seeing things to help other types of men, it’s really annoying!!

  11. Ofcourse it looks good on male models, they could have almost any haircut they want and still look hot. It just looks ridiculous when average looking guys have their hair like this just because its “fashion”. Is it really attractive that men jump on the bandwagon and cut their hair like everyone else instead of doing their own thing?

  12. I live in North Jersey area, 10 mins away from NYC, everyone and their mother has this haircut. The revival of this hairstyle started in the underground punk and hardcore scene, we call it the Hitler Youth Crew cut. Once Ryan Gosling got it, it went mainstream. There is no reason why every man has to look like this. Im 6’1, 180 lbs, lean. I have a full head of thick hair and I prefer to keep it shaved with a face stubble. Be your fucking self.

  13. The haircut ALL men should get? All i see now when I’m walking down the streets is a lot of guys are jumping on this ‘gentleman hipster’ bandwagon. everyone look the same… same pompadour haircut, same clothes style and same dr martens boots. It makes me wonder, these men probably weren’t born as a gentleman that they need to follow what every hipster guys are doing. Count me out. I dont need this shit. I workout, got a normal haircut with harrington jacket and just fit checkered shirt, yet chicks still dig and wanna talk to me.. while all these pompadour wankers standing on the side waiting for their chances that will never come. You can buy hairstyles and expensive boots, but you can’t buy class and gentleman attitude.

tl;dr: Dont follow what society/media want you to do and wear. Save money and be yourself.

  14. Whoever wrote this needs to stop. I’d rather look like myself with my own style rather than all the men who are running out to get this haircut.

    1. Ok, Ok I’ll stop. My apologies. But perhaps the people that need a little encouragement and inspiration as far as fashion tips want me to continue… so nevermind, I won’t stop.

  15. At first I thought ehhh idk, but then realized it’s perfect for a guy particularly in his 20’s and early 30’s because it can be styled messy/kinda spiky or over the forehead for a more edgy look especially for going out at night, but also straight to the side for a more professional look for work.

  16. I have this style and I’m a 40-something, straight female. This style suits me because I play Derby, so I’m in a helmet a lot. After bouts its an easy style to wash and go to afterparty . I can also style calm for work, ( nurse) or funky if my hubby and I go out. LOVE IT!

  17. Way too many guys (posers) have this cut now… I’ve been doing this for years.. Now it’s trendy as hell.. Stop encouraging every damn guy to look the same…

  18. I had this haircut like 10 years ago, then I moved places and the new local barber fucks up everytime I go to get a haircut so I decided size zero all over and look tough as nails.

  19. I love this hair cut on guys and I like the fact you can change it up to have at least 3 different styles. I suggested it to my bf but he’s not keen. Maybe if i show him a few of these pics i might be able to pursuade him…he would look really hot 🙂

      1. Your post is titled “the haircut all men should get”. You’re the one gender stereotyping you idiot. Anyone should have any haircut they like, regardless of sex / gender / fashion. If you need to get a haircut to fit in or feel self worth, you need to start worrying about how you live your life in general, and not just what cut to get.

      2. Why am I the idiot when you’re the one who clicked on the post and read it?!? Just as much as anyone is free to get whatever style they wish, I am able to write whatever I wish, and I certainly don’t call anyone idiots for their opinions unless it destroys my character or someone else’s… Thanks for reading!

  20. At least you reply and don’t censor posts, but you are being hypocritical. And my reading this blog post doesn’t really have anything to do with that.

  21. um… seriously? this is the inspiration for that haircut:

It’s pretty sad that you can walk into any salon in the East Village, ask for the Hitler Youth cut, and the stylist will know that this is what you want….

For me, this “40s inspired style” blurs the fucking line between looking fashionable and being ethical.

  22. All ‘men’ already do have this fucking haircut since its been a fad now for the past 4 years as this post already fucking shows us

  23. How bout no.
If you’re urbanite hipster or actually give a shit about what the latest fashion is, go nuts. Personally I wouldn’t be caught dead with that hair style because I think it looks stupid. I don’t know or care what “style” is and my friends, male and female, are mostly the same way. Go head with “trendy” I’ll go with useful
